Amanda Solis

Amanda Solis has extensive work experience in the field of data science and research. Amanda is currently employed as a Staff Data Scientist at MyFitnessPal, where they started in October 2022. Before that, they worked as a Senior Data Scientist at the same company from July 2021 to September 2022.

Prior to their role at MyFitnessPal, Amanda worked at Pfizer for a total of five years. Amanda served as a Machine Learning Engineer from July 2019 to July 2021 and as a Data Scientist from May 2017 to June 2019. Amanda's journey at Pfizer began as a Data Science Intern in December 2016 and lasted until May 2017.

Amanda's early career included positions at The Scripps Research Institute and UC San Diego Health. At The Scripps Research Institute, they worked as a Research Associate in Biostatistics from June 2016 to May 2017. Prior to that, they served as a Student Research Intern in Biostatistics from October 2013 to June 2016. At UC San Diego Health, Amanda held the roles of Clinical Research Coordinator from June 2016 to November 2016 and Research Assistant from April 2014 to June 2016.

Amanda also gained experience as a Volunteer at the University of California San Diego from November 2014 to May 2015.

Amanda Solis completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Computation from UC San Diego between 2012 and 2016. Amanda then pursued further education at Stanford University in 2018, focusing on Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics. The duration of their studies at Stanford is not provided. Currently, Amanda is enrolled in the Georgia Institute of Technology for a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, specializing in Machine Learning. Their master's program is expected to continue from 2021 to 2024.
