Jia Qiu

Jia Qiu is a data scientist and machine learning lead at MyHEAT. Jia has also worked as a GIS developer for MRF Geosystems Corporation and a research assistant for the University of Calgary and Wuhan University of Science and Technology. Jia has experience with QGIS, ESRI ArcGIS, C#, SVN, C++, OpenCV, LibLAS, HTML, Javascript, CSS, Android Studio, Postgresql, PostGIS, MS SQL Server, Matlab, and OpenCV image processing algorithms. Jia is skilled in developing GIS software applications, designing and debugging sophisticated mathematic algorithms, managing and analyzing huge amounts of geospatial data, and reconstructing 3D objects. Jia has also written detailed design documents and user manuals for GIS software applications.

Jia Qiu completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Mining Engineering at Wuhan University of Science and Technology. Jia then went on to complete their Master of Science in Geomatics Engineering at the University of Calgary. Finally, they completed their Master of Engineering in Mining Engineering at Wuhan University of Science and Technology.
