Russ Wilding has a diverse work experience spanning several notable companies. Russ began their career at Ernst & Young in 1983, where they progressed to a senior management position and provided consulting for emerging businesses. In 1996, they joined Assist Conerstone as the CFO and played a key role in the management team and board of directors. Russ also raised capital to buyout a 50% shareholder. In 1998, Russ became the CEO of Footnote, a genealogy-focused consumer internet site that was later sold to Ancestry.com in 2010. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Content Officer at MyHeritage, a role they have held since 2012.

Russ Wilding attended Granger High School from 1973 to 1975, where they completed their high school education. Russ then enrolled in Brigham Young University from 1980 to 1983, obtaining a Masters of Accounting degree with a field of study in Tax.
