Joel Shapira

Joel Shapira is an accomplished executive with a focus on aging and technology, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Community Lead at AgeTech Chicago while also leading strategic initiatives for the American Society on Aging. With extensive experience in business development and sales as the VP of Global Growth Channels at MyndVR, Shapira has dedicated efforts to integrating virtual reality solutions in senior living. Additional roles include advisory positions with Perfect Pair and Wowzitude, along with founding the consulting service Beyond Age, which aims to enhance services for older adults. Shapira's educational background includes a B.S. in Communications from Northwestern University and an M.A. in Leadership and Professional Effectiveness from DePaul University.
