Sharon Buonicore

Sharon Buonicore has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Sharon is currently working as a Corporate Teacher & Student Assessor for English Language at mYngle since December 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an English Second Language Tutor with Preply, where they provided customized and dynamic English language lessons to students of all levels. Sharon also holds the position of a Certified Professional TEFL/TESOL Teacher/Instructor/Tutor since September 2021, where they focus on delivering tailored teaching methodologies to help their students achieve their full potential in learning English.

In their earlier years, Sharon worked at Hydro Ottawa for a significant period from 1996 to September 2021, starting as a Senior Revenue and Collections Representative and later taking up the role of a Communications Officer. In their role as a Senior Revenue and Collections Representative, they managed collections for commercial and residential accounts, trained new employees, and conducted training sessions to enhance team skills. As a Communications Officer, they undertook various responsibilities including writing articles, working on website updates, budget accounting, and creating presentations.

Sharon has also volunteered in different capacities. Sharon served as an Occasional Television host and Interviewer for Rogers Channel 22 "Tele30" from 2003 to 2011, conducting interviews with individuals from different industries and professions. Additionally, they acted as an Italian language Host and Program producer for CHIN Radio Ottawa from 2003 to 2008, hosting and producing a radio show in Italian language.

Sharon has engaged in volunteer work at Ottawa International Airport Authority as an InfoGuide from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they worked as a Customer Relations representative at Nepean Hydro in 1995 and held various roles at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) from 1994 to 1995.
