Halle Marchese has a diverse work experience in the field of science writing and communication. Halle started their career as a Research Assistant and Social Media Coordinator at the University of Florida - College of Health and Human Performance EDGE Lab in 2016, where they conducted research and handled social media coordination until 2019. Halle later worked as a Science Writer & Lab Assistant at the Florida Museum of Natural History from 2017 to 2020, where they wrote scientific articles and assisted in laboratory work. In 2020, Halle served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Florida and a Staff Writer at UF Research. Halle then joined the University of Florida as a Communications Specialist from February 2021 to November 2021. From November 2021 to May 2022, they worked as a Science Writer and continued in the role of Science Writer II from May 2022 to May 2023 at the Institute for Protein Innovation. Currently, Halle is a Science Writer at Nucleus, a company that focuses on consumer genetic testing and analysis.
Halle Marchese attended the University of Florida from 2016 to 2020, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature, with a focus on general studies. Additionally, during their time at the University of Florida, Halle Marchese earned a minor in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences. In April 2018, they also obtained a certification as a Scientific Scuba Diver from NAUI Diving LLC.
