Lasse Folkersen

Lasse Folkersen has a notable work history in the field of genetics and medical sciences. Lasse currently holds the position of Chief Scientific Officer at Nucleus, starting in June 2022. Lasse'swork in this role included the utilization of biobanked gene expression data to identify mediator-genes in genome-wide association studies.

Lasse Folkersen completed their Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry at the University of Copenhagen from 2002 to 2005. Lasse then pursued further education and obtained their Master's degree in Human biology from the same university between 2005 and 2008. Afterward, Lasse enrolled at Karolinska Institutet from 2008 to 2011, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree with a focus on Cardiovascular Genomics and Transcriptomics.
