Richard Roberts has worked in the sales and management sector for over 25 years. Richard began their career in 1995 as a Regional Sales Manager for Forest Laboratories (now Allergan). During this time, they managed 10 Specialty Representatives, 8 Division Managers, and 10 representatives under each manager. Richard was also responsible for budget planning, resource utilization, and programming for each representative in the region. In 1997, they were promoted to Specialty Sales Representative, where they were ranked in the top 10 of 250 Specialty Representatives each year. In 1999, they were promoted to District Sales Manager, where they were responsible for short and long-term strategic planning, budget tactics and planning, and assisting individuals in developing skills that would help them achieve their goals and objectives.

In 2007, Richard Roberts joined Boston Scientific as a Territory Manager. Richard then moved to LaGrange Broadcasting in 2009, where they were responsible for Sales and Management for the radio station. In the same year, they joined Cardiovascular Systems, Inc. as an Area Sales Director. During this time, they were accountable for leading a sales team of 7 regions and 65 sales representatives across the west and southwest. Richard was also responsible for sales forecasting, cost benefit analysis, GPO/IDN contractual negotiations, managing quarterly P&L, creation of strategic imperatives, territory alignments, and the implementation of organizational objectives specific to the management in the Cardiovascular space.

In 2016, Richard Roberts founded Gen1 Research as the CEO. In 2018, they joined Nuwellis, Inc. as the Vice President of Sales. In this role, they were focused on the creation of the commercial vision, management of both selling into existing segments and market development for new markets, building and developing a national sales team while coordinating with partners and distributors, along with driving sales and increasing profit margins. Richard also opened 44 new accounts in their first year, and increased revenue from 3.5 million to 6 million annualized. In 2021, they joined Myocardial Solutions as the Vice President of Sales.

Richard Roberts attended Stephen F. Austin State University from 1986 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing/Marketing Management, General.
