Jay Weems

Dr. Weems is a licensed clinical professional counselor and certified as a mental illness and substance abuse specialist. His career in mental health and social services spans more than 30 years, with 25 years in executive leadership roles. He is the Founder, President, and CEO of PsyCynergy Psychological Services, a comprehensive community-based Medicaid-certified behavioral health outpatient center. He is also the Executive Director of Youth and Family Services at Thornton Township, the largest township in the State of Illinois, serving over 200,000 residents.

Dr. Weems earned his doctorate in clinical psychology in 2000 from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. A few courses shy of a M.B.A. in Executive Leadership, he also holds a M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University and a B.A. in clinical psychology from Chicago State University.
