Angely Miranda is a seasoned professional in youth leadership and financial empowerment, currently serving as the Director of the Student Loan Empowerment Project at MyPath since November 2019. In this role, Angely leads the design and implementation of a pioneering student loan counseling program under the Department of Financial Protection & Innovation. Prior to this position, Angely held various leadership roles at First Place for Youth, including Director of Youth Leadership, and served as a Senior Program Manager at Beyond Emancipation. With a strong foundation in criminal justice, Angely earned a Bachelor of Arts from San Francisco State University and an Associate's degree from City College of San Francisco.
MyPath
A national nonprofit headquartered in the Mission District of San Francisco, MyPath supports youth from low income families to take control of their finances and achieve economic mobility. To this end, MyPath engineers effective models that support youth to save and build credit; shares what works with the field and through training and technical assistance to support the adoption of our approaches in communities; and advances policy change in partnership with young people. Our results and best practices have been published by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, the Journal of Consumer Affairs and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
