Wouter Depoortere

Wouter Depoortere has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries. Wouter currently holds the position of Chief at Myreas since November 2021. Prior to that, they were a Member of Management at Myreas starting from September 2019.

Wouter also served as an Executive In Residence at Vlerick Business School starting from January 2021.

Before joining Myreas and Vlerick Business School, Wouter worked at Colruyt Group as the Head of Enterprise IT Architecture from March 2018 to October 2021. In this role, they were responsible for enterprise IT architecture and served as a leader for the Enterprise IT Architecture group. Wouter was also a part of the Colruyt Group Portfolio Team and the Colruyt Group Architecture Board.

Prior to their time at Colruyt Group, Wouter held several roles at Proximus. Wouter was the F4 initiative leader from November 2016 to February 2018, where they focused on improving the customer experience for the high-end Fiber portfolio. Wouter also served as the Chief Enterprise Architect from January 2015 to November 2016 and as the Head of Enterprise Architecture from July 2007 to December 2014. In these positions, they played a significant role in shaping and implementing enterprise architecture strategies.

Wouter began their career at Proximus as the Head of Project and Sourcing Office from June 2006 to June 2007 and as a Product Line Manager from January 2002 to May 2006. Wouter also worked as a Product Manager from April 2000 to December 2001 and as an Installation and Maintenance Manager from March 1999 to March 2000. Additionally, they held positions as Procurement, Logistics, and Quality Manager from August 1997 to February 1999 and as a Project Manager from November 1996 to July 1997.

Prior to their time at Proximus, Wouter worked as a Management Consultant at IMPAC from February 1996 to October 1996.

During their work experience at Gezinsbond vzw, Wouter served as a Speaker, delivering talks and facilitating workshops on various topics related to internet privacy, social media, and internet sexuality.

Wouter Depoortere's education history began in 1987 when they enrolled at O.L.V. Van Vreugde instituut (broederschool) for their high school education. Wouter studied Mathematics and completed their high school in 1990.

In 1990, Wouter joined KU Leuven, where they pursued a Master's Degree in Applied Economic Sciences. Wouter'sstudies in this field lasted from 1990 until 1994.

After completing their Master's Degree at KU Leuven, Wouter Depoortere furthered their education at Ghent University. From 1994 to 1995, they pursued a second Master's Degree, this time in Marketing.
