Mehdi Sqalli

Mehdi Sqalli has over 13 years of experience in the software engineering field. Mehdi began their career in 2008 as a Software Developer for Appartavenue. In 2009, they joined Gfi Informatique as a Software Developer, where they designed and implemented an iPhone application in Objective-C. In 2010, they joined Darkworks as a Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented a LUA debugger using the LUA API. In 2011, they were a Project Manager for Neoptin, where they managed a team to design and implement a Chat for the website jobmetender.com. In 2012, they co-founded MNT Développement, where they were in charge of the iOS branch of the company. In 2015, they joined Vatler as VP Engineering, where they were part of the YC S14 batch. Mehdi then pivoted to SpotAngels, where they were a Co-Founder & CTO. In 2022, they joined Myria as Director of Engineering.

Mehdi Sqalli obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from EPITECH - European Institute of Technology between 2007 and 2012. Mehdi has also been enrolled in Computer Science programs at the University of California, Berkeley and California State University, Long Beach since 2011. In addition, they have taken courses from Udacity. Mehdi has also obtained several certifications from Coursera, including Learning How to Learn (November 2014), Introduction to Physical Chemistry (July 2014), Understanding Europe: Why It Matters and What It Can Offer You (July 2014), Social Psychology (June 2014), The Emergence of the Modern Middle East (May 2014), The Modern World: Global Mehdi'story since 1760 (May 2014), Mehdi'story of Rock, Part Two (December 2013), and Mehdi'story of Rock, Part One (October 2013).
