Amit Desai

Amit Desai has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Software Developer at Harbinger Systems in 2010. Amit then moved on to Persistent Systems, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer from 2010 to 2013. Following that, they joined e-Zest Solutions as a Senior Software Engineer from 2013 to 2014. Amit then worked at Memorial University of Newfoundland as a Research Assistant from 2014 to 2017, and also held various Graduate Teaching Assistant positions during that time. In 2015, they joined Beaufort Solutions Inc. as a Senior Software Developer, where they worked until 2020. Currently, Amit works as a Software Development Team Lead at Mysa Smart Thermostats, a position they started in October 2020.

Amit Desai completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Computer Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University, which they attended from 2006 to 2010. Amit then pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Science at Memorial University of Newfoundland from 2014 to 2017. In addition to their academic qualifications, Amit also obtained several certifications, including "M101J: MongoDB for Java Developers" from MongoDB, Inc. in May 2014, "Oracle Certified Professional, Java EE 5 Web Component Developer" from Oracle in August 2012, "Integrated ANIIT - Software Engineering" from NIIT Limited in July 2010, and "Sun Certified Programmer for Java 2 platform, Standard Edition 5" from Sun Microsystems in June 2009.
