Christina Connett Brophy

Christina Connett Brophy is the Senior Director of Museum Galleries and Senior Vice President of Curatorial Affairs at Mystic Seaport Museum. Christina also holds the title of The Douglas and Cynthia Crocker Endowed Chair for the Chief Curator at New Bedford Whaling Museum. With a background in art history and visual culture, Christina has extensive experience in museum management, exhibition development, donor relations, and academia. Brophy has a passion for cultivating relationships with cultural institutions and building unique, multidisciplinary courses for students. Christina has a strong track record of overseeing collections management for private, corporate, and non-profit collections, as well as curating exhibitions showcasing maritime art and contemporary works.
