Anju Patel, MD

Anju Patel, MD has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Anju currently serves as a Board Member for The Patient Is U Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization focused on improving compassionate care in the healthcare system.

Previously, Dr. Patel worked at Mytonomy, where they held multiple roles. As a Physician Consultant, they provided medical writing expertise for the development of clinical education content in various formats. Anju also collaborated with cross-functional teams and supported the editorial process of health education content. Additionally, as an Associate Medical Director, Dr. Patel strategized best practices for patient education and engaged with medical thought leaders to improve patient care.

Dr. Patel has also contributed to Harvard Medical School as an Instructor, co-chairing the Diversity Subcommittee and leading initiatives to promote diversity and equity within the organization. At Brigham and Women's Hospital, they served as an Associate Surgeon and was a faculty member for the Center for Surgery and Public Health. Anju also worked as an Associate Adjunct Surgeon at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai.

Before that, Dr. Patel worked at ENT and Allergy Associates as an Otolaryngologist, specializing in voice and swallowing disorders. Anju utilized diagnostic technologies and minimally invasive therapeutic techniques to provide care to patients.

Dr. Patel completed their Laryngology Fellowship at Emory University and served as an Instructor at Emory University School of Medicine. Anju began their career as an Otolaryngology Resident Physician at Tufts Medical Center.

Following this, they pursued their medical education at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences from 2007 to 2011, earning their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree with High Honors.
