Felix Russell has a diverse work experience, starting in 2014 as an RDD Intern at Dyson. Felix returned to Dyson the following year for another internship. In 2016, Felix joined Imperial College London as a Postgraduate Researcher, focusing on biomimicking joints for walking robots and prosthetics. During their time at Imperial College London, they also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. In 2020, Felix transitioned to the role of Postdoctoral Research Associate at Imperial College London, where they developed standardized test methods for quantifying heat rejection in lithium-ion batteries. Currently, Felix is working as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Mytos, starting in 2021. Additionally, they have experience as a Course Leader at www.techcamp.org.uk, teaching children aged 9-17 to solder and build electronic circuits.
Felix Russell has a strong education history in the field of robotics and engineering. Felix obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in A Complete Robotic Knee as a Tool for a Better Understanding of Joint Dynamics from Imperial College London, where they studied from 2016 to 2020. Prior to their Ph.D., Felix completed their undergraduate studies at the same institution, majoring in Mechanical Engineering from 2012 to 2016.
Before attending Imperial College London, Felix attended Abingdon School from 2007 to 2012.
Additionally, they obtained a certification in MHFA Lite from Mental Health First Aid England (MHFA) Community Interest Company in December 2015.
