Vinicius Fonseca is the current Director of Systems Engineering at N5 Sensors. Prior to this, they worked as a Hardware Firmware Engineer at Aerotek from February 2018 to January 2019. There, they developed a complete system for collecting analog signals from gas sensors and sending them via BLE and UART. Vinicius also developed a digital sensor module for easy integration of the sensor with other systems, as well as an Arduino shield to be used as a developing platform for customers and internal R&D. Additionally, they created two android apps - one for demo proposes and one for integration of the sensors with a Cloud service.
Before working at Aerotek, Vinicius was an R&D Engineer at Seva Engenharia Eletrônica S.A. from July 2013 to March 2016. There, they were responsible for developing and optimizing six devices, choosing superior and inexpensive components and developing more efficient manufacturing processes - resulting in reduced production costs by 12%. Vinicius also developed an IoT gateway that had Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, Bluetooth LE and a proprietary protocol over a 433MHz radio as ways of communication using embedded Linux; completing the development 30% faster than expected. Furthermore, they designed and 3D printed two plastic body prototypes for IoT products in-house, making the prototyping process 60% faster. In addition to these achievements, Vinicius also developed five Proof-of-Concepts (PoC) for IoT products using Raspberry Pi and Arduinos - by using preexisting libraries, they achieved a 30% faster development
Vinicius Fonseca has a Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais. Vinicius also has certifications from Coursera in Operating Systems and You: Becoming a Power User, The Bits and Bytes of Computer Networking, and Technical Support Fundamentals.
