Takiyah M. Jefferson, CMP, currently serves as Senior Vice President within the Executive Office at the NAACP, having joined the organization in May 2021. Takiyah is responsible for organizing and executing programming that aligns with the organization's strategic direction, utilizing collaboration across various departments for successful project integration. Additionally, Takiyah owns TMJ Event & Travel Management, LLC, where the focus is on enhancing meeting and event management for improved ROI and efficiency. Previous roles include Director of Meetings & Travel at AFL-CIO, where management of high-value meetings and events was a key responsibility, as well as various leadership positions at ASCD, PDA, and the National Society of Black Engineers. Takiyah holds an Executive Certificate in Hospitality & Tourism Management from Florida Atlantic University, an Executive Certificate in Meeting, Conference, and Event Management from New York University, and a degree from Virginia Tech.
