Nikolai Sten Christensen

Nikolai Sten Christensen is an experienced professional in financial management and government administration, currently serving as Departementschef at Naalakkersuisut - Grønlands Selvstyre since September 2015. In this role, Nikolai is responsible for implementing political objectives and managing daily operations within the Self-Government, focusing on economic and physical planning. Prior to this position, Nikolai worked at the Parliament of Greenland for twelve years, where responsibilities included advising the presidency and managing secretarial duties as both Sekretariatschef and Committee Secretary for the Parliament Finance Committee. Earlier experience includes serving as Head of Section at DIH, where activities involved budget management and collaboration with external partners on healthcare issues. Nikolai holds a master’s degree in Political Science from Aarhus University and attended The London School of Economics and Political Science for studies in Trade, Development, and the Environment.
