Mel Davey

Mel Davey is a seasoned software engineering leader with extensive experience in the biotechnology and gaming industries. Currently serving as Sr. Director of Software Engineering at Nabsys since January 2024, Mel previously held the position of Head of Software Engineering at Quantum-Si from July 2015 to January 2024, following a brief period in stealth mode. Earlier roles include Senior Director of Software Engineering at Thermo Fisher Scientific and Software Group Leader at Life Technologies, where Mel focused on software, bioinformatics, and analysis. Mel also contributed as a Senior Developer and Project Leader at Ion Torrent Systems and has a rich history at Sonalysts, functioning in various software roles including lead programmer for commercial games and military training applications. Mel holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
