John Neumann joined the company in 2009, becoming its Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary in 2011. In 2012, he was named Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of NACCO Industries. John serves as the company’s chief legal officer and has oversight responsibility for our Mitigation Resources of North America and Catapult Mineral Partners businesses. John uses his M&A background and legal training to support the team's effort to grow all aspects of the business.
Prior to joining the company, John was a mergers and acquisitions attorney with Jones Day in Cleveland, Ohio and Hunton & Williams in Richmond, Virginia.
John received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Grove City College in Pennsylvania and his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review. He has been admitted to practice law in Texas, Ohio and Virginia.
