Cari Walker, Ed.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Starting in 2007, they worked at Bilo as a Customer Service Team Lead until 2011. From 2010 to 2012, they served as a Consultant at Premier Designs. Cari then held the role of Assistant Coach at Hibbett Sports from 2011 to 2012. In 2012, Cari began working as a Teacher for the Aiken County Public School District until 2017. During this time, they also worked as a Lead Teacher at Meeting Street Schools from 2017 to 2018. In 2017, Cari became an Education Management Consultant at Time to Teach Inc. until 2020. From 2018 to 2022, they worked as an Instructional Coach at AIKEN COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT. Currently, Cari is employed at the National Association of Colleges and Employers as an Assistant Director of Learning and Professional Development, a role they started in 2023.
Cari Walker, Ed.D. holds a Doctor of Education degree in Leadership from Liberty University. This degree was acquired between the years 2019 and 2022. Prior to their doctoral studies, they earned a Master of Education degree in Leadership and Administration from Augusta University, completing their studies between 2013 and 2015. Further back in their educational journey, Cari obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of South Carolina Aiken. Cari graduated magna cum laude with a GPA of 3.865 in 2012.
Additionally, Cari has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field of education. Cari holds an Educator License from the South Carolina Department of Education, earned in July 2020. In May 2020, they obtained a Literacy Coach Endorsement from the same institution. Cari also holds a Principles of Coaching certification, obtained in April 2019, and a Certified South Carolina Evaluator certification, acquired in February 2018.
Furthermore, Cari obtained a Gifted and Talented Endorsement from the University of South Carolina Aiken in July 2016. Cari also holds a Leadership Professional Certificate from the South Carolina Department of Education, obtained in June 2015. Lastly, Cari completed an Awareness and Prevention of Youth Suicide program through The Jason Foundation, Inc. in October 2014.
