Bukar Ali Usman

Director, North-East Zone at NAFDAC Nigeria

Dr. Bukar Ali USMAN, mni was appointed the Director, Veterinary Medicine and Allied Products of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) on 4th September, 2014.

Dr. Bukar USMAN, before his appointment in NAFDAC, he was a staff of Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources with the Federal Department of Veterinary and Pest Control Services (FDVPCS). While in the FDVPCS, he served as the National Facilitator Animal Health under the National Programme for Food Security, Abuja. Earlier, he started his civil service career with the Borno State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources and served Borno State Government in various capacities some of which included: Provost, College of Agriculture Maiduguri; Honourable Commissioner in the Borno State Executive Council; Permanent Secretary in the Ministries of Education and Health, Borno State Civil Service.

Dr. USMAN is a member of the National Institute (mni), NIPSS Kuru, SEC 40 2018. He obtained Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Master of Veterinary Science (MVSc) at the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria in the year 1994 and 2002 respectively. He attended several courses within and outside the Country. Notable among these were; Public Administration and Civil Management and Project Management both at the Galilee International Management Institute, Israel in 2011 and 2012 respectively.
