Elizabeth Fortune is an accomplished music educator with extensive experience in orchestral and educational programming. Currently serving as Associate Director for the Washington Music Educators Association and the Director of Education for the Wintergrass Festival since February 2004, Elizabeth has held the position of Director of Orchestras at Ballard High School since September 2018. In addition, Elizabeth has been the Chairperson for the National Council for Orchestral Education with the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) since June 2019. Previous roles include Director of Orchestras at Washington Middle School and a Member at Large on the Board of Directors for the American String Teachers Association. Elizabeth also contributed to the International Bluegrass Music Association Leadership Bluegrass Planning Committee from 2015 to 2018. Elizabeth holds a Master's degree in Music Education from the University of Montana.
