Helen Leonard serves as the Chair of the Regional Affairs Committee at NAFSA: Association of International Educators since January 2024, with extensive experience in international education at New York University (NYU), where the role of Associate Director in the Office of Global Services has been held since July 2020. Helen's prior experience includes positions as Past Chair for Region X at NAFSA and Assistant Director at NYU OGS, where oversight of daily operations and supervision of advisors and student workers was key. Helen also has a strong background in managing admissions documents and regulatory issues for international students, having worked as an International Student Advisor and held various roles involving training and compliance within NAFSA and NYU. Helen holds a Master's degree in International Education and a Bachelor's degree in Politics from New York University.
