Dr. Fabian Maier is a Geowissenschaftler at Nagra - Nationale Genossenschaft für die Lagerung radioaktiver Abfälle since May 2021. Prior to this, Dr. Maier completed a PhD in Geography with a focus on Hydrology at the University of Zurich from 2018 to 2020, contributing to the HILLSCAPE project, which studies natural slope development in the Alps. Additional experience includes roles as a Data Analyst at GeoVille Information Systems GmbH and Remote Sensing Solutions GmbH, and as a research assistant at Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften focused on high-altitude research, glaciology, and climatology. Dr. Maier holds a Master's degree from Universität Innsbruck and a Bachelor's degree from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, along with experience at Umeå University in climate impact research.
