Florian Kober

Florian Kober has extensive work experience in the field of geosciences. Florian started their career at ETH Zürich in 2005 as a PostDoc/Oberassistent and worked there until 2013. Florian then joined Helmholtz-Zentrum Potsdam - Deutsches GeoForschungsZentrum GFZ, where they served as a Wissenschaftlicher Assistent for seven months. In 2013, Florian Kober joined Nagra - Nationale Genossenschaft für die Lagerung radioaktiver Abfälle as a Geoscientist ISP - International Services & Projects Deputy Head at Grimsel Test Site, and they are currently in this role.

Florian Kober has a strong educational background in the field of geology and natural sciences. Florian began their academic journey at TU Bergakademie Freiberg, where they pursued a Diplom degree in Geologie und Erd-/Geowissenschaften from 1994 to 1999. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Otago in 1999 to complete a Postgraduate Diploma of Science in Geology. Florian furthered their studies at ETH Zürich, where they obtained a PhD in Natural Sciences from 2000 to 2004. Florian'seducational trajectory demonstrates a commitment to acquiring in-depth knowledge in their field of interest.
