Nikitas Diomidis

Nikitas Diomidis is a seasoned materials scientist and corrosion expert with extensive experience in the field of materials performance and safety assessment. Since January 2012, Nikitas has held multiple leadership roles at Nagra, including Lead Safety and Performance Assessment and Section Head of Materials Performance. Prior to this, Nikitas served as a Research Associate at EPFL, contributing to advancements in anti-fretting surface treatments and polymer casing optimization. Past roles include Academic Assistant at the National Technical University of Athens, and postdoctoral positions at Ecole Centrale Paris and Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, where significant contributions to tribological measurements and corrosion-wear interactions were made. Nikitas earned a PhD in Materials Engineering from KU Leuven, complemented by a Master's degree with distinction and a Diploma in Chemistry from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon.
