Pietro Berkes

Pietro Berkes currently serves as the VP of Data Science at NAGRA since October 2016, where responsibilities include leading the development of AI services and products, managing a team of data scientists, and collaborating on commercializing AI workflows. Prior to this role, Pietro held positions at Twitter Cortex and Magic Pony Technologies as a Senior Principal Data Scientist, contributing to machine learning research in video quality. Pietro's entrepreneurial experience includes founding Data Fusion Consultants Ltd, specializing in statistical modeling and data analysis solutions. Additional career highlights encompass directing consulting activities in Europe at Enthought, conducting significant neuroscience research at Brandeis University, and developing machine learning models at the Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit. Educationally, Pietro holds an MSc in Mathematics from ETH Zürich, a PhD in Biophysics from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Computational Neuroscience at UCL.
