Alejandro Violante

Managing Director Capital Markets at NAI Mexico

Alejandro Violante has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Alejandro began their career as a Director in Investment Banking at Dresdner Bank AG in 1995. Alejandro then moved on to become the Director of Project Finance at Bufete Industrial in 1996. In the same year, they also served as a Senior Financial Advisor. Alejandro later joined the Secretaría de Finanzas del Gobierno del Distrito Federal as a Special Projects Advisor to the Governor of Mexico City from 1997 to 2000. Alejandro then became a Partner at IMEF and held this role for 20 years until 2009. During this time, they were also the Director of Banca de Inversion at MONEX GRUPO FINANCIERO from 2007 to 2009. From 2009 to 2011, Alejandro worked as the Director General of Planeación at Secretaria de Comunicaciones y Transportes. Alejandro then joined NAI Mexico as the Managing Director of Capital Markets, where they focused on various financial activities including investment banking, asset management, and M&A. Starting in 2012, Alejandro became a Senior Advisor at USRG. Currently, they hold the position of Socio Director at NAT GAS.

Alejandro Violante completed their education in a chronological manner. Alejandro obtained a Diploma in Economic Development from the University of Oxford in 1977-1978. Subsequently, from 1979 to 1985, they pursued a Ph.D in Economy at the American University. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Birmingham from 1973 to 1974. Finally, in 1966-1970, Alejandro Violante studied at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, where they received a degree in Mechanic Engineering.
