Eric Kolchinsky

Director NAIC Structured Securities Capital Markets at National Association of Insurance Commissioners

Eric Kolchinsky has extensive experience in the insurance and financial sectors. Eric served as the Director of the NAIC Structured Securities & Capital Markets, where they realigned operations with strategic goals and implemented advanced analytic approaches and artificial intelligence. Eric also headed the newly formed Structured Securities Group, recruiting staff, defining policies and procedures, and acting as a central resource on ABS rating methodologies/practices for the NAIC. Eric worked as a Consultant for the Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance, advising on the rehabilitation of Ambac Assurance Corp and recommending de-risking strategies for the RMBS portfolio. Eric served as Managing Director at Moody's Analytics, supervising a valuation service and heading the methodology for structured finance valuations. Additionally, as Managing Director at Moody's Investors Service, Eric led the US Structured Credit group, overseeing rating work flow, analyst training, and communication improvement efforts.

Eric Kolchinsky holds a Master of Statistics (MS) degree from NYU Stern School of Business. Additionally, they obtained a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from New York University School of Law.
