Kelly Edmiston serves as the Policy Research Manager at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners since November 2020, focusing on research and policy analyses pertinent to the insurance industry and regulation. In addition, Edmiston is an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Missouri-Columbia, teaching Health Economics and State and Local Public Finance. Formerly, Edmiston held multiple positions in academia, including Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where instruction involved Health Services Research Methods and Healthcare Economics, as well as adjunct roles at Baker University, the University of Kansas, and Georgia State University. Edmiston has extensive experience as a Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, specializing in socioeconomics and community development. Educational achievements include a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with additional post-doctorate studies in Population Health and a BA in Economics from the same institution.
