Prior professional experience includes roles as Senior Structural Engineer at Gandhi Engineering, Hardesty & Hanover, Maitra Associates, and Superstructures from October 1987 to May 2003, as well as a Structural Engineer at Shaheedullah & Associates New from January 1980 to August 1983. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology (1983-1987) and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and Stevens Institute of Technology (1976-1980).
