Alexander Mellor has a diverse background in the field of solar energy technology. Alexander started their career as a Student Intern PV at Narec Solar in 2005. Alexander then worked as a Junior Research Assistant at the Solar Energy and Building Physics Laboratory, University of Lleida in 2007. In 2008, they joined Brampton Manor Secondary School as a Teaching Assistant for Special Educational Needs for a short period. Later that year, they became a Research Associate and PhD Student at the Instituto de Energía Solar - Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. In 2011, they worked as a Visiting Researcher at Fraunhofer ISE. In 2014, they joined Imperial College London as a Research Fellow in Solar Energy Technology. Most recently, they held positions at Naked Energy Ltd, starting as a Senior Technologist in 2018 before becoming the Head of Technology Applications in November 2021.
