Erik Engström Bennerhult

Erik Engström Bennerhult has extensive experience in the tech industry. Erik began their career in 1999 as IT Manager for the Nordic Region at Europeloan Bank. In 2001, they founded Lejbrink Bennerhult, a company that builds complex digital solutions for clients such as the Karolinska Institute, the Data Protection Agency and the Ministry of Defense, as well as banking systems for the financial sector. In 2010, they became Development Manager at Clickgirot and CTO at Avida Finans AB, where they helped the company grow by building an IT department from scratch and increasing the company's value from €3M to over €30M. In 2016, they became Co-founder & CEO of Näktergal Financial Technology and in 2019, they became an Advocate for Tech Nordic Advocates, a network of over 700 entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, accelerators, corporates and policy makers, working together across the Nordics and Baltics to develop the region into a world-leading hub for startups and innovation.

Erik Engström Bennerhult began their education in 1992 at Rinmangymnasiet, studying natural science. From 1995 to 1996, they attended Lycée Emile Combes, and then Umeå University from 1996 to 1997, studying philosophy. Erik then attended KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 1998 to 2003, graduating with a degree in Civ ing Datavetenskap / M Sc Computer Science. In October 2018, they obtained SwedSec's licensing exam for mortgage loans from SwedSec Licensiering AB. Finally, in May 2020, they obtained Leadership Stories: 5-Minute Lessons in Leading People from LinkedIn.
