Gosia Blokker-Michalska is a seasoned researcher with extensive experience in the field of vegetable variety testing and management. Since October 2004, Gosia has been with Naktuinbouw, focusing on DUS testing of new vegetable varieties including carrot, melon, watermelon, leek, cucumber, and gherkin for listing and Plant Breeder's Rights. Prior to Naktuinbouw, Gosia worked as a variety tester at SEMINIS VEGETABLE SEEDS Polska from January 1998 to September 2002, where responsibilities included testing new vegetable varieties under Polish conditions, data collection, and collaboration with breeders. Earlier experience includes a researcher and lecturer role at Warsaw University of Life Sciences from 1993 to 1998, concentrating on soil management and heavy metals uptake in plant and soil fertilization. Gosia holds a master's degree in Horticulture with a specialization in Ornamental Plants from Szkoła Główna Gospodarstwa Wiejskiego w Warszawie, obtained between 1987 and 1992.
