Marco Hoffman

Marco Hoffman currently serves as the Deputy Secretary for the Dutch Board for Plant Varieties since January 2022. With extensive experience in botany and taxonomy, Marco holds multiple roles including Secretary of the International Commission on Nomenclature of Cultivated Plants since 2013 and Botanist/Taaxonomist for Naktuinbouw since 2014. As Chief Editor of the Dutch Dendrological Society and Chairman of the Editorial Board of Dendroflora, Marco has contributed significantly to dendrology and plant variety research. Marco's previous roles include research positions at Applied Plant Research/Wageningen UR and project leadership at Sortimentstuin Harry van de Laar. Marco has also imparted knowledge as a guest lecturer at Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences. Educational credentials include an Ir. degree in biology/botany/taxonomy from Wageningen University & Research.
