Jason Greenawalt has a diverse work experience in various companies and positions. Jason is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Nakupuna Companies, where they manage the growth and presence of the company across the U.S. In their previous role as the Executive Vice President, Na Ali'i - A Nakupuna Company, they led the client delivery of services and managed the company's staff in over 35 states.
Jason also co-founded Nakupuna Foundation, where they provided strategic direction and leadership to create a thriving Native Hawaiian workforce. Jason also directed and oversaw the successful delivery of client services at Nakupuna Companies.
Prior to that, they served as the Director of Business Operations at the Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Navy/Deputy Chief Management Officer, leading the transformation of business processes and ensuring optimal investments for the Navy and Marine Corps.
Jason's experience also includes roles at the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV), where they served as the Chief of Staff for the Energy and Environmental Readiness Division and as the Chief Strategist for the Logistics Planning and Innovation Division. In these positions, they managed budgets, directed hiring and resourcing decisions, and led strategic planning efforts.
Earlier in their career, Jason worked as a Program Analyst at Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) HQ, where they created and managed an integrated system for programming and budgeting. Jason also served as a Financial Analyst at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), where they supported budget formulation and justification for the entire command.
Throughout their career, Jason has demonstrated leadership, strategic planning, and financial analysis skills in various organizations within the Navy and private sector.
Jason Greenawalt completed their education with a BA degree in History from Campbell University in 2003. Jason then pursued a Master's degree in Public Budgeting and Finance, earning an MPP from The George Washington University in 2007. Their most recent educational endeavor is the Advanced Finance Program (AFP) at The Wharton School, which they will complete in 2024.
