NALS was formed in 1929 and was incorporated in 1949 and has been dedicated to members of the legal community ever since. By providing exceptional education opportunities and networking arenas, NALS has continued to be THE association for legal professionals. Whether you are a legal secretary in a local small firm or a senior paralegal in a global firm NALS will offer you opportunities to grow your career. NALS offers sessions and conferences nationwide providing expert education and professional development opportunities.

Members build life-long friendships with colleagues from around the country and use these friendships to build both professional and personal relationships. By attending NALS conferences you will be able to interact with members from all types of backgrounds so you can use the diversity of NALS to increase your knowledge and broaden your perspective on ways to do your job and build your career.

While tangible benefits are always great NALS offers you the opportunity to belong to the oldest association for legal support professionals and is the only association that is all-inclusive, giving you a home whether you stay on your current path or branch out into a new opportunity in the field. We feel that by including legal secretaries, paralegals, and legal assistants we can offer a broad perspective on the industry and allow everyone to learn from one another and build their personal networks across all levels.
