Namaste Charter School
Serving Kindergarten-8th grade students in Chicago since 2004, our groundbreaking educational model combines health, wellness, and academic rigor. We instill lifelong success in a peaceful environment. Located in Chicago's McKinley Park Neighborhood, on the under-resourced southwest side, Namaste serves 480 students, the majority of whom come from low-income families and lack access to high-quality educational opportunities. At Namaste, there is no tuition or selection criteria; admission is by blind lottery. Families are fully engaged in regular healthy initiatives, including nutrition workshops. • A model for schools nationwide, hosting over 250 educators annually to share best practices • One of two schools awarded the U.S. Department of Education’s Dissemination grant For more information about Namaste Charter School, please visit www.facebook.com/namastecharterschool and www.namastecharterschool.org.
