NAMI Florida’s mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions through education, support, and advocacy.

As the state organization of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization, NAMI Florida partners with 21 Affiliates across the state. These Affiliates provide education, information, connection to resources, peer and family support groups, and community presentations to raise awareness and reduce stigma.

Our Priorities:

 - Support our Affiliates in meeting the mental health needs of their communities
 - Develop new Affiliates in underserved areas
 - Expand the peer specialist workforce through training and mentorship
 - Create specialized NAMI peer services for youth, first responders and frontline healthcare professionals, and pregnant/postpartum women
 - Collaborate with law enforcement through Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training
- Advocate at the state and federal levels for increased funding and expanded services
- Ensure the voices of peers and families are heard at all levels of the mental health system
