Gizem Kestly

Gizem Kestly serves as the Project Manager for Strategic Initiatives at the University of Michigan, overseeing complex projects aligned with institutional priorities and previously held a similar role focusing on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI). In addition to academic roles, Gizem holds multiple volunteer positions, including Vice President and P2P Program Lead at NAMI Washtenaw County, where there is oversight of mental health initiatives. Prior experience includes program coordination at Michigan Medicine, research assistance, and leadership roles in various student organizations, enhancing community engagement and advocacy for underrepresented populations. Gizem has pursued advanced education, currently working toward a Master of Social Work at the University of Michigan, building on a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and relevant certifications in social work.
