Lauren B. Simonds, MSW, is a member of the NAMI Board of Directors and she has been the Executive Director of NAMI Washington since 2014.
She decided to work with NAMI after learning that a long-time friend, who had with bipolar disorder, died by suicide.
Lauren has more than 30 years of experience working with non-profit organizations and has spent of those 18 years in an Executive Director role.
She earned her B.A. at Boston University and a MSW at University of Washington.
For the 2021–2022 Board term, she serves on the Policy and Governance Committee.
