Kapena Tjombonde

Kapena Tjombonde is the current CEO of the Namibia Institute of Pathology. Kapena has over 10 years of experience in corporate affairs, business registration, and risk management.

Tjombonde began their career as a Senior Manager at the MVA Fund of Namibia, where they were responsible for medical provider relations and health risk management. In this role, they developed strong relationships with medical providers and helped to improve the quality of care for patients.

In February 2018, Tjombonde joined the Business and Intellectual Property Authority (BIPA) as Executive: Business Registration Services. In this role, they were responsible for the registration and administration of companies, close corporations, and sole proprietorships.

Tjombonde has a proven track record of success in their roles at MVA Fund of Namibia and BIPA. Kapena is a strong leader with a commitment to improving the lives of those they serve.

Kapena Tjombonde has a Masters in Law and Business from the Bucerius Law School, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, and a Postgrad Diploma in Company Direction from the Graduate Institute of Management and Technology, RSA. Kapena also has a Programme in Progamme for Management Excellence from Rhodes University, Investec Business School, and a Nursing Diploma from the University of Namibia.
