Aksel Nangolo

Aksel Nangolo, MPhil, CIA, CRMA, currently serves as the Manager of Internal Audit at NamPower, overseeing the delivery of the audit plan since October 2023. Additionally, Aksel holds the position of Chairperson of the Audit Committee at Oshikoto Regional Council, providing leadership in governance, risk management, and internal controls. Aksel's previous experience includes roles as a Senior Internal Auditor and Internal Auditor at Namibia Power Corporation, where responsibilities encompassed risk-based audits and assurance engagements. Aksel has also contributed to the Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa as Deputy Governor for the Namibia Regional Committee and held internal audit positions at Namibia Water Corporation and TransNamib Holdings Ltd., as well as an auditing role at the Office of the Auditor General - Namibia. Aksel holds a Master of Philosophy in Internal Auditing from the University of Pretoria, along with various other academic qualifications in accounting and finance.
