Lance Miller is Vice President of Natural Resources for NANA Regional Corporation where he works to guide NANA through responsible resource development and help grow the corporation to meet the present and future needs of NANA shareholders.
Lance has worked for over 30 years in the minerals industry throughout North America from Mexico to the Canadian and US Arctic, as well as in Asia, Russia, and Africa. As well as working in the minerals industry Miller also has worked in the economic development sector leading a technology transfer, business loan, and entrepreneurial/business development organization.
He currently is a chairman of the Alaska Minerals Commission, is an Executive board member of the Resource Development Council, the Council of Alaska Producers and is on the University of Alaska Anchorage Geosciences advisory board. He was a member of the Alaska Geological Mapping advisory board, the Alaska Climate Impact Assessment Commission was past president of the Juneau Douglas Ice Association and the Foundation for Glacier and Environmental Research, and was a founding member of AlaskaInvestnet.
Miller has authored and co-authored over 25 scientific publications and holds a Ph.D. in economic and structural geology from the University of Arizona, an M.S. in economic geology from the University of Alaska, and a B.S. in geology from Stanford University.
