Tiffany MacDougall, Ph.D has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Tiffany started their career as a Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Technician at the University of Alberta, where they maintained NMR instruments and conducted experiments for undergraduate and graduate students.
In 2012, Tiffany joined Imperial Oil, initially working as a Research Chemist where they managed global lubricant technical support projects and led interdisciplinary teams. Tiffany later became a Global Lubricants Characterization Technical Advisor, responsible for spectroscopic and chromatographic characterization of lubricants, conducting training sessions, and monitoring key quality metrics. Tiffany then moved on to become the Lead Researcher at the Sarnia Applied Process Research, supporting crude value chain quality and optimization initiatives.
Tiffany's most recent role was at Imperial Oil as a Lubricants Field Technical Advisor. In this position, they provided innovative lubricant solutions for major industrial accounts in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, with a focus on mining, petrochemical, heavy equipment, and manufacturing sectors. Tiffany conducted on-site assessments, developed new business opportunities, and supported existing business by navigating supply and logistics challenges.
Additionally, Tiffany had a short-term role as a Loaned Representative from Imperial Oil to the United Way Sarnia-Lambton, where they organized and participated in fundraising campaigns and delivered presentations to raise awareness of United Way initiatives and funded programs.
In 2023, Tiffany will be joining Nanalysis as a Product Specialist.
Tiffany MacDougall, Ph.D, has an extensive education history in the field of chemistry. Tiffany pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry with a minor in Psychology from the University of Regina - Luther College. This educational journey lasted from 2001 to 2006.
Furthering their academic pursuits, Tiffany went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Alberta. Tiffany dedicated herself to this program from 2006 to 2012.
