Lachlan George is the Group Chief Information Security Officer at Nando's. Lachlan has over 20 years of experience in the cyber security industry.

George began their career in the Australian government, working as an information security solutions architect. Lachlan then moved to the private sector, working for Deloitte UK as the Tech, Media & Telco Sector Leader for Cyber Security & Privacy. In this role, they advised some of the world's largest organizations on how to protect their data and mitigate cyber risks.

George then joined CyLon, a global platform that focuses exclusively on growing cyber security businesses. As a CISO Advisory Council Member, they provided mentoring and advice to startups going through the incubator programme.

In October 2018, George joined Nando's as the Group Chief Information Security Officer. In this role, they are responsible for defining Nando's global information security & privacy strategy, driving the global information security & privacy programme, and overseeing information security & privacy risk management across 20+ countries/markets.

Lachlan George studied for a Bachelor of Information Technology at Queensland University of Technology, before completing an Honours degree in the same field. Lachlan then went on to study for an MBA at the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School. Lachlan is also certified by the International Board for IT Governance Qualifications (IBITGQ) in ISO27001:2013 Lead Auditor, and by ISACA in Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
