Alan MacFarlane

Alan Macfarlane is a seasoned techno-economic analyst with extensive experience in materials science and chemical engineering. Currently at Nano One Materials Corp. since January 2021, Alan focuses on identifying the company's value proposition related to cost efficiency and environmental benefits. Previously, Alan served as a clean technologies researcher at FPInnovations, where responsibilities included techno-economic modeling and research on novel technologies. Alan's background also encompasses roles as a chemical engineer at Scion, a postdoctoral fellow at The University of British Columbia, and various academic positions at The University of Auckland. Alan holds a Ph.D. in Chemical and Materials Engineering from The University of Auckland, along with a Bachelor's degree in the same field.
