Mario Navarro

Mario Navarro has a diverse work experience in the scientific field. Mario currently works as a Senior Scientist II at nanoComposix, where they manage, leads, and fulfills contracts to develop lateral flow tests for infectious and metabolic diseases. Mario also held the position of Senior Scientist I at the same company.

Prior to this, Mario worked at Trinity Biotech as a Scientist and Associate Scientist, where they gained experience in various scientific roles. Mario also worked at NanoCellect Biomedical, Inc. as an Application Scientist and at Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Guy Salvesen Laboratory.

Mario's work history also includes a role as a Mentor at Partnership Cancer Research and Training for Central California, where they mentored undergraduates in conducting research and helping them develop skills in experimental design and data interpretation. Mario was also a Graduate Student at the UC San Diego/San Diego State University Joint Doctoral Program and served as a Mentor at ABRCMS-meeting, where they guided underrepresented minority students in their career pathways.

Lastly, Mario worked as a TA and PhD student at San Diego State University. Throughout their career, they have gained expertise in scientific research, project management, mentoring, and teaching.

Mario Navarro's education history is as follows:

From 2017 to 2019, Mario Navarro attended UC San Diego Extended Studies and obtained a certificate in Regulatory Affairs for Medical Devices.

Between 2007 and 2012, Mario Navarro pursued Ph.D. studies in Chemistry and Biochemistry. Mario obtained their Ph.D. from both San Diego State University and UC San Diego, with a specialization in Protein Biochemistry.

In 2001, Mario Navarro completed a Master's degree in Marine Biotechnology at the Centro de Investigación Científica y de Educación Superior de Ensenada.
